Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-07-27
Effective: Jul 27, 2026
The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information comes from California’s CCPA/CPRA and from similar laws in a growing number of US states. This page covers how it works here.
What Follows
Opting out affects personalisation only. Ads may still be shown, selected without your data. We do not restrict, downgrade, or charge differently for the site on account of an opt-out — that would be unlawful.
Background
There is no monetary sale of personal information by Deskloosen. The practice that engages this right is narrower — where ads are served, advertising and cookie identifiers may be shared with ad partners. Given how broadly the statutes define ‘sale’ and ‘share’, we assume it counts and provide the opt-out.
- This holds for all readers of deskloosen.com, whether they have interacted with us or not.
Opting Out
Easiest first: switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser settings or via an extension — it is detected and honoured on every page load, automatically. Failing that, use the cookie banner where shown, or email hello@deskloosen.com, subject line ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. We never require an account to process an opt-out.
For the wider set of state-law rights — access, correction, deletion, portability — see the State Privacy Notice.
